A fresh new website for a local senior school looking to modernise its messaging

As a local school for girls, established in 1976 after the amalgamation of Kettering High School for Girls and Rockingham Road Senior Girls School, Southfield School for Girls were looking to modernise their messaging to attract more students and bring their branding up-to-date. To coincide with a new school uniform and colour scheme, the school sought out a local website design agency to help design and build a state-of-the-art website and corresponding prospectus and document folder.

The new website had to appeal to a wide range of users including potential new students and parents, current students and parents, sixthform students, and teachers. With much of the website focused on explaining curriculums and courses, there was a need to ensure the site was visually appealing while getting across lots of information. To help with this aspect, Verto completed 3 days of photography within the school, providing fun, vibrant imagery to use across the site and for additional marketing material.
Behind the scenes, the website also required a lot of work, including linking up their internal Google calendars with front-end calendars for the users to view, while linking all forms to their MailChimp account to make mass-emailing quick and efficient. Launched in mid-2019, the website has performed exactly as expected, encouraging Southfield School for Girls to choose Verto for their follow-on projects, including a new logo and website for a partnering school.
