Verto Receives Cyber Essentials Certification for 2021

Announcement

At Verto, we take cybersecurity very seriously, not only for our own benefit but also for the benefit of our clients and the websites and digital applications we manage on their behalf. We’re proud to announce that we’ve just been awarded our Cyber Essentials certificate for 2021, which is developed by the National Cyber Security Centre as part of a UK government-backed scheme.

Cybersecurity is of utmost importance regardless of your industry. In today’s modern world, cybercriminals are using clever tricks to infiltrate small and large businesses, whether through complex network hacks or simple inconspicuous email links, so for us, keeping up to date with the best ways to protect our systems and our customers is essential.

Thanks to the procedures we have in place, we can proudly promote our safety measures when it comes to dealing with customers’ websites, giving peace of mind that our defences will protect against common cyberattacks.

Philip Ward, Technical Director, comments: “Over the last few years, the way cyberattacks are orchestrated has changed and Verto have always ensured we’re up to date with all the latest security protocols. We have also liaised with Northamptonshire Police’s Cyber Crime unit to receive advice on best practice and construct regular tests to ensure our colleagues are following the correct procedures. The team have been great and everyone understands the importance of keeping Verto and our clients safe online.”

Matt Lovell, Operations Director added: “I had no doubts that Verto would gain Cyber Essentials certification again in 2021. The team are well versed in how to handle potential threats and regular training and updates to our systems allow us to stay on one step ahead. Having the Cyber Essentials accreditation adds further reassurance, that our already extremely secure network is well protected for the benefit of both Verto, and our customers.
