Verto Conquers Mount Snowdon

News

While the rest of us were enjoying the bank holiday weekend off, six of our colleagues travelled down to Wales to climb Mount Snowdon as a team. The Verto mountaineers donned their thermals, waterproof jackets and hiking boots and set off Friday afternoon with their sights fixed on Snowdonia National Park.

The team chose to take the Pyg Track up the mountain – a walking route which is regarded as the most physically demanding but offers the greatest reward through its spectacular views.

After a gruelling day of hiking, our colleagues made it to the summit of Mount Snowdon in a very respectable time of 3 hours and 50 minutes. Thankfully, the weather held up and our intrepid explorers were treated to some breath-taking sights across the stunning Welsh landscape.

As a great way to make the most of being out of the office, our team unleashed their inner Bear Grylls and camped out in the beautiful countryside of the National Park. They also took the time to explore the picturesque historical town of Caernarfon, a tourist destination home to coastal paths, great traditional pubs and the famous Caernarfon Castle.

Overall, everyone who went said it was a great experience and we hope to be able to offer more fantastic teambuilding exercises in the future. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on the Verto team’s adventures!
